A Hacked Up Wood Heater from Propane Tank

Here I have just a quick project I have been wanting to do on a weekend.  Its a wood burning forced air stove, which I would like to eventually make run off waste oil.  It used a 20lb propane tank as the base.  You are looking at the loading door and it will have a bent duct coming off the top and I have a small fan that will blow in fresh air from the rear and create a vortex hopefully?  I plan on running it outside the garage and having just the duct coming through just in case.  It probably won't put out too much heat, but it doesn't get too cold here in Texas during the winter.

In this video we use a Kill-A-Watt to examine the energy use of several household objects.  Tell me what other things you might want to test in the comments :)

Here is the link to the Kill-A-Watt version that I use in the video:

Smoking Ribs in the Gas Grill

I had a chance to try my hand at smoking ribs.  I want to do a video on this, but also wanted to try once before I filmed it:). This is the finished product:

I'll post up the recipe and website I used when I video it.  It was easier and harder than I thought as well.  Took about 4 hours.

Quick Reel Mower Review (under 5:00 minutes with bonus!)

Well I finally got around to testing out the 'ol Scott's 20" Classic reel mower I bought second hand.  It's been less than stellar I must say, but it is a good work out for sure.  Check out the video and let me know what you think!

"The future is yesterday..."

Here is a new one from the video if you want to try it for yourself on a nice yard in new condition:

Here is a Friskars version that I see some people in my area using:

Fiskars StaySharp max Reel Mower, 18 Inch Cut Width, 362050-1001

Finally got that reel mower....not what I expected

Well I finally got a used reel mower since Scott's never replied to any of my requests to test one out...haha.  Coincidentally, I did end up getting a used Scott's 20" Classic Reel Mower.

I love the width of the mower.  When I got it, it hadn't been sharpened and was off kilter some.  As soon as I actually have some grass and not weeds in my yard I will be doing a video review.  Be on the lookout!

FYI:  I believe most of the people that give these up don't take the time to learn how to maintain them or sharpen them.  Also if you are wondering if you can use the valve grinding compound to sharpen the blades...I did that and it worked just fine.  5$ vs 30$ for the actual sharpening kit.
